In highschool James Harden struggled to make his free throws, so his coach made a deal with him. Every time he makes a free throw in a game, his coach buys him a burger. This deal made James Harden a phenomenal free throw shooter.
Career
James Harden was drafted to the Oklahoma City Thunder in the 2009 NBA draft in round 1 with the third pick, where he played alongside Russel Westbrook and a prime Kevin Durant. Harden was traded to the Houston Rockets in the 2012 2013 season after being unhappy with being the third option on a team after Westbrook and Durant. The Rockets is where he earned most of his accolades including his MVP in 2018. After being unhappy with his current Rockets team because of the lack of talent in the team, he decided to request a trade to the Brooklyn Nets where he formed a current super team with Kevin Durant and Kyrie Irving.
